Shanghai opens first batch of fully autonomous expressways

The 2nd Shanghai Forum on Intelligent Transportation, hosted by the Municipal Transportation Commission, was held yesterday (7th). The theme of this forum is "Digital Intelligence, Travel", and the main line of the forum is intelligent transportation construction, autonomous driving applications, and coordinated and integrated development. At the forum, Shanghai's first batch of fully autonomous driving expressways was officially opened, and the "Shanghai ICV Demonstration Operation Implementation Rules" were released simultaneously, and the world's first ICV demonstration operation certificate was issued on-site.

It is reported that up to now, Shanghai has opened a total of 926 test roads covering 1,800km and 15,000 measurable scenes. The mileage and measurable scene data are both at the forefront of the country. Lu Feng also revealed that Shanghai is continuing to accelerate the construction of smart expressways, further promote the test and demonstration of cross-regional linkage expressways in the Yangtze River Delta, and strive to create a new highland for intelligent networked vehicles.
