IMF: Asian growth forecast cut to 4.4%

The International Monetary Fund recently cut its growth forecast for Asia, predicting that emerging economies in the region will expand 4.4 per cent this year and 4.9 per cent in 2023. Asean 5 economies will see growth slow to 4.9 per cent in 2023 due to weak demand from major trading partners such as Europe and the US.
