Excavator exports in September increased by more than 70% year-on-year

In September 2022, my country's excavator exports exceeded domestic sales, an increase of more than 70% year-on-year.

Excavators are widely used in various engineering constructions, and are the most sensitive types of machinery to changes in downstream demand. Its sales are regarded by the industry as a leading indicator reflecting the construction machinery industry and even the national economy.

On the evening of October 11, the statistics of 26 excavator manufacturing enterprises released by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association showed that in September 2022, 21,187 excavators of various types were sold, a year-on-year increase of 5.49%, of which 10,520 were domestic, a year-on-year decrease of 24.5%; Exported 10,667 units, a year-on-year increase of 73.3%.

It is worth noting that under the background of high export growth last year, my country's excavator export volume is still accelerating this year. The export growth rate of excavators in September exceeded the growth rate of the cumulative export volume from January to September, and exceeded the domestic sales volume of 147 units. It is reported that in 2021, my country will export 68,000 excavators, a year-on-year increase of 97%.

The total sales of the above-mentioned excavators recorded a positive year-on-year growth (3.4%) for the first time in July this year after falling for 14 consecutive months. However, the domestic sales of excavators continued their negative growth trend year-on-year.

The construction machinery industry has successfully expanded new incremental markets through foreign trade.
