Brazil's trade surplus fell to $3.99 billion from a year earlier

Brazil's exports in September were $28.95 billion, up 18.8 percent year on year, according to data released by Brazil's Economy Ministry. The value of imports was US $24.96 billion, up 24.9 percent year on year, and the surplus of foreign trade was US $3.99 billion, down 9.3 percent year on year.
